Beginning tomorrow, August 4, a drop-off food waste program will be available to residents at no charge through a partnership with Compost Clubhouse (formerly Kids That Compost). Compost Clubhouse will provide six large bins next to the former Service Facility at 1525 Goodale Boulevard. Residents can drop off foodstuffs 24 hours a day, seven days a week to any of the lined containers at their convenience. This service is being provided free of charge to residents as the City looks to expand its environmental programming.

“We are thrilled to offer a free drop-off food waste program through this partnership with [Compost Clubhouse]. I would like to recognize President Keeler’s years of work on this issue to help bring this forward. We appreciate [Compost Clubhouse] offering this equitable, inclusive option as a community service at no cost to the residents or the City,” said Mayor Greta Kearns.

“I am excited to see our community continue to expand our environmental programming,” said Council President Emily Keeler. This, in addition to the Residential PACE legislation passed this spring, are positive steps towards creating a more sustainable Grandview Heights.

All items should be dumped directly from a bucket or in a compostable bag.
